Built upon the industrial heritage of the south bank of the Douro River, the World of Wine complex emerges from the extensive conversion of more than 30 warehouses historically linked to Port Wine production. This monumental development is a structuring operation that not only rehabilitates centuries‑old structures but also introduces new volumes with contemporary architectural language, overcoming significant structural and geotechnical engineering challenges.
The project forms a cultural and tourism‑oriented theme park comprising museums, exhibition areas, food and beverage spaces, retail zones, and technical support facilities.
